Twenty Miles, eleven hours, and not a soul (except this twisted character).
Peters Mountain–fifteen of those miles–very little change in elevation: a razor-straight ridge with few views (just one actually – the vista from a refreshing open field on the mountain top above Symms Gap).
Little bits of West Virginia under foot again too – first time in 375 Trail miles (since Keys Gap).
And now the story of the rain: Heavy rain until midnight last night. Deluge again just after sunset tonight – barely half an hour after my fine, dry, unbesodden 20-mile sojourn!
11PM tonight – snow! Yikes! White slippery trails tomorrow.
Strange day … no verbs.
